The Bears have agreed to a deal with former Eagles tight end Trey Burton

The Bears will sign tight end Trey Burton to a four-year contract when the league season opens Wednesday, sources confirmed to the Sun-Times on Tuesday. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com provided the deal's financial details.

The Eagles were widely expected to lose Burton, who racked up 23 catches for 248 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season.

It turns out his destination is Chicago, where Burton caught his first career touchdown pass from Carson Wentz in 2016.
