2018 NFL Scouting Combine: Arden Key, Josh Sweat among 5 defensive ends for Bills to watch
As the Combine came to a close, there was one important prospect left to test: NFL Network's Rich Eisen who once again participated in the Run, Rich, Run fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. There are some fast prospects in this group, but it will be just more than speed.
In my analysis I will list the players that improved their draft stock and those who hampered it.
If you're not a huge football fan (or just not a insane person that loves to watch prospects run 40-yard dashes and lift weights), you probably didn't watch the 2018 NFL combine.
When I talked with Moore on Friday, he predicted "anything under 4.5" for his 40-yard dash, and he certainly hit that goal. Moore posted a strong mark on the bench press, as his 21 reps of 225 pounds ranked third out of 34 receivers, and the vertical jump, as his mark of 38 inches ranked fourth out of 38 receivers. A one-year starter, Apke spent most of his career as a special-teams contributor, but safeties who run that fast often will get long looks from teams and could be potential late round choices. Meeks was impressive, but his former Stanford teammate Justin Reid may have eclipsed his performance.
