BMW teases sexy 8 Series Gran Coupe
Given that the 8 Series is set to replace the 6 Series, it would only make sense that a four-door version would be in the works to replace the 6 Series Gran Coupe and one can only hope that a less cringeworthy name for the four-door derivative is thought up between now and then. The company didn't provide any details other than the short message: "Stay tuned. More to come in Geneva next week".
BMW will revive the 8-Series range this year in a bid to move its flagship coupe, convertible and the four-door Gran Coupe models up a notch to challenge the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, as well as the Bentley Continental GT and GTC. The flowing roof creates quite an attractive look but would seem to limit headroom for anyone sitting in the back.
A recent rumor also indicated that BMW would debut the 8 Series Grand Coupe in Geneva, possibly even in the performance M8 variant.

Next week at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, BMW will unveil the new M8 Concept Gran Coupe which previews the production auto which goes on sale next year. The lack of fender vents, desing of the wheels and body panels, nothing at all indicates the full-on M treatment.
In addition to the Concept 8 Series Gran Coupe, BMW released two "official spy photos" of the G15.
All versions of the M8 are expected to utilise the same mechanical elements of the recently-introduced new-generation M5 that goes on-sale in Australia next month, including its upgraded 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and all-wheel drive transmission.
