Dunkirk Director Predicts Black Panther Will Get An Oscar Nomination
The Disney and Marvel Studios superhero film "Black Panther" has become a global sensation, with box office profits surpassing the $1 billion mark this weekend. Black Panther has crossed the $ 930 million mark till now and by looking at its current performance in China, we are expecting it cross the $1 billion mark by tomorrow. "One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around [while filming] a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two".
The film, which stars Chadwick Boseman and is directed by Ryan Coogler, joined the billion dollar club on its 26th day of release. In North America, its standing is even more impressive.
Marvel's Black Panther has already broken multiple records at the box office ever since it opened in February. Given the enthusiastic word of mouth from critics and audiences alike, this remarkable box office performance only adds more hype to Avengers: Infinity War, which will have sequences that take place back in Wakanda.
