Argentina global forward Carlos Tevez has enjoyed a glittering career but often shrouded in controversy but his latest injury picked up in prison has said to anger his current club Boca Juniors.

Needless to say the club are reportedly not too happy with Tevez.

Clarin Sports have now shed light on the situation by claiming that the 34-year-old striker tore his soleus muscle during a kickabout behind bars.

According to reports in Argentina, Tevez tore his calf during a friendly kick-about at a maximum security prison in Cordoba, where his half-brother Juan Alberto Martinez is now serving a 16-year sentence for co-ordinating an armed raid.

And although there is no photographic evidence, the ex-Manchester United and West Ham hotshot enjoyed a game of football with his sibling and other inmates during the visit.

Tevez's sibling is now serving time for masterminding an armed robbery.

Tevez was previously at Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua, where he was paid a reported £650,000-a-week but had his contract terminated after a failed spell returned just four goals in 20 appearances.

No wonder Boca are fuming with him!

Discussing his time in the Far East, he said: "I was on holiday for seven months in China".
