Cheetah jumps into man's Jeep
A tour group traveling on an African safari got more up-close to nature than expected when a cheetah chose to jump into their auto and have a peek around.
Incredible footage shows the cheetah inspecting the backseat of the vehicle while Britton Hayes, of Seattle, sits frozen in fear. The Gol Kopjes are known for the high population of cheetahs, but this tour group got more than they bargained for. Curious, two of the large cats jumped on the jeep, one on the hood and the other through a back-passenger window.
In footage shared of the incident, the curious cheetah can be seen grabbing onto the passenger's seat of the auto and having a look around before getting comfortable in the vehicle's backseat.
"It was too late to drive away or anything like that because you don't want to startle the animals", he said. The guide told the group not to move or make eye contact so the cheetah would not see them as a threat.

Instead of hosting Virginia Tech on September 19, 2020, Michigan will now play Arkansas State at Michigan Stadium on that date. As a result of the series cancellation, MI has moved up their home game in 2021 against the Washington Huskies by one week.
After sniffing around, and chewing on the seats a bit, the animal left Hayes unharmed.
Hayes said this is not common, but that guides were prepared for it to happen.
"Honestly, it was probably one of the scariest moments of my life while it was happening".
Hayes added now he feels like he can tackle anything and that the experience made him feel "alive".
