Christina Aguilera has been famous for decades, but it turns out that we have never actually seen her face before.
It's impossible not to say something attractive about Christina Aguilera on the latest cover of Paper magazine.
"I've always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage", she tells Paper.
"I mean, I'm a girl that likes a beat face".
As barely recognizable as she is without makeup, some of the more artistic shots push the limit even further. Three years later, she rocked two-toned hair, bikini tops and assless chaps while promoting her grown-up album Stripped.
So when the singer revealed her recent collaboration with Paper Magazine only a few hours ago, it's safe to say that the entire world let out a simultaneous gasp.

For the occasion, Aguilera also tossed out the winged liner, fake lashes, stamped-on red pout, and ubiquitous spray tan; even her baby lashes bear no trace of mascara.
"Madonna had to go through it in her day, and she paved the way for my generation to come up", she points out, advising up-and-comers to always be fearless in breaking boundaries and unafraid of criticism.
"I can't stay in a stagnant place for too long, which is why I think the position I was in with television just became very stifling", she explains. "I need movement, I need to go explore, be an artist, create and transform".
