REPORT Jaguars among 4 teams interested in TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins

The New York Jets are strapped with a plethora of salary cap space this offseason to reshape their roster to finally take a step forward in the 2018 campaign.

Seferian-Jenkins isn't among the top options on the market for tight ends but the group is extremely thin and nearly all of them come with red flags of some kind.

The Colts are expected to be active in free agency but they won't overpay.

Whether he can get that is another matter as there a few notable tight ends on the market led by Graham - whose new deal, whatever it is, could set precedents for every other free agent tight end - Cincinnati's Tyler Eifer and Trey Burton of the Eagles. The Falcons are reportedly "very interested".

The team reportedly offered Seferian-Jenkins $8 million over two years at the conclusion of the 2017 season but the tight end turned it down in hopes of getting the Jets to come up to the $6-7 million per year mark. Seattle now has just over $30.7 million in salary cap space this offseason. The addition of Seferian-Jenkins would provide more depth and another receiving option at the spot alongside Austin Hooper.

The one caveat however, is that Seferian-Jenkins played a career-high 653 snaps and went from Josh McCown to Bryce Petty at quarterback late in the season. NY certainly has the salary cap space to bring him back aboard now holding an NFL-high $92 million ahead of the free agency period.

A national report Sunday said the Seahawks will be "very interested" in tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins - a former UW standout - when the free agent signing period begins this week.
