Animal rights activists evaded security and ran across the arena floor just moments after whippet Collooney Tartan Tease had been crowned Best in Show.
PETA Director, Elisa Allen, said: "Crufts glorifies pedigree fetishists" twisted pursuit of the "perfect' dog".
The Crufts Best in Show award ceremony was disrupted by a "pitch invasion" on Sunday evening, when a protester ran into the arena just as the victor was declared.
Marilyn Baker from Fareham took three-year-old Bearded Collie Braidy to Crufts 2018 at Birmingham's NEC and picked up the Best of Breed award.
Peta, the campaign group who organised the protest, identified Joel Cessio, 32, from Nice, France and Lolita Vernot Sanataria, 25, from Paris, as the pair to storm the Crufts arena.
Owner Yvette Short, of Edinburgh, grabbed her two-and-a-half-year-old whippet Tease, as several men cornered the protester.

Two pitch invaders interrupted the Crufts winner's ceremony on Sunday night to protest against extreme dog breeding.
A Crufts spokesperson said two intruders had scared the dogs nearby and put the safety of both dogs and people at risk in a "hugely irresponsible way".
According to PETA, many dogs suffer as a result of extreme breeding, with bulldogs, pugs, Pekingese, and other brachycephalic (flat-faced) dogs struggling to breathe due to their unnaturally shortened airways.
The NEC Group will review security procedures as a "matter of urgency" after the drama was aired live on Channel 4.
According to reports, the activists were from Vegan Strike Group - which campaigns against animal abuse - working with animal rights charity PETA.
