On a recent episode of Viceland's Desus And Mero, the two rabble-rousing comedians made a snarky comment about DJ Envy and his wife Gia while watching a clip of the couple's appearance on daytime talk show The Real. But, even after their apology, Envy left the rest of the show to his two co-hosts to finish up after he walked off live on air. Envy addressed a few points, including why he expressed his feelings about the incident on air.
"When my wife heard it, she thought it was disrespectful", he said. They made fun of me, which is fine, making fun of me, but when they insinuated that my wife was only there for the checks that was the problem. "My wife has been with me since 15 and I couldn't believe that they could say something like that especially somebody that I consider friends and that's why I wanted to check them".
When the situation settled, and DJ Envy was still not satisfied with Desus and Mero's apology, Envy got up quietly and walked out of the studio without informing his co-stars of the "Breakfast Club," Charlamagne tha God and Angela Yee. He also says it wasn't staged or planned.
"It was serious and I wanted them to know I was serious about it". As men, we can have a disagreement. "It wasn't staged or fake, this was serious and true to my heart".
