Goldie has pleaded guilty to attacking a security guard at Glastonbury
Goldie, whose real name is Clifford Price, admitted assaulting a bouncer who had blocked access to a backstage VIP area during Glastonbury Festival.
Despite having initially entered the plea of "not guilty" when slapped with the charges, Goldie changed his plea to "guilty" today via an email which read "Yup, guilty as charged".
When asked his nationality, he said he was "very British" and he then confirmed his guilty plea, saying to the judge: 'Correct my dear'.
But after the unimpressed district judge Lyn Matthews insisted on hearing from him face to face, he spoke to her using his lawyer's phone. She read out a formal plea the star emailed to his solicitor.
At that point, Price, who the court heard was now based in Thailand, was contacted on FaceTime - a video-calling app on Apple smartphones - and confirmed his name and address to the court. "There is nothing in law to permit entering a plea via FaceTime".
Judge Matthews said she was not Price's "dear" and that he must appear in court for sentence, or face a warrant for his arrest being issued.

It was heard that five or six witnesses had been expecting to appear today, had the trial proceeded.
The musician appeared before Bristol Magistrates' Court from Thailand, where he is now based, via FaceTime in order to admit the single charge.
