Sources Trump ready to remove McMaster

The Washington Post, who claim to have spoken to White House insiders, reported Mr McMaster is not expected to be removed from his post immediately - Mr Trump is said to be willing to take his time in making a change in order to choose a suitable replacement.

Trump received some criticism earlier this week for the manner in which he fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, an announcement that the president made on Twitter.

Trump has told White House chief of staff John Kelly he wanted McMaster "out" and "asked for help weighing replacement options", two people "familiar with their conversations" said.

While Trump's spokeswoman on Thursday night tried to shoot down the notion that McMaster's ouster is imminent, she did not directly deny it was in the works. And earlier this week, his personal assistant Johnny McEntee resigned amid allegations of financial missteps.

For all of the evident disorder, Trump feels emboldened, advisers said - buoyed by what he views as triumphant decisions last week to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum and to agree to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Mike Pompeo, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency and an ardent critic of the Iran accord, has been chosen to replaced Tillerson. "I think it's bad", Trump said. "I guess he felt it was okay".

European Union plans to challenge Trump's tariffs before WTO
Politico, citing unnamed officials, said the tariffs were expected to be rolled out as soon as next week. Higher tariffs for those products would be hurtful to American families, said one trade lobbyist.

Slawson, who said he had known Roy since the boy was seven years old, said he was a skilled and determined player. CTV News Toronto has also learned that Krassimira Pejcinovski lived in the home with her three teenaged children.

Trump has complained that McMaster, a three-star Army general, is too rigid and that his briefings go on too long and seem irrelevant, the Post reported.

If it happens, McMaster's departure would follow those of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who was sacked earlier this week, National Economic Council director Gary Cohn, and White House communications director Hope Hicks, who resigned last month. To that point, Trump had been reluctant to say that, though he has been somewhat more equivocal on the matter since.

However, there were indications that the Washington Post report is merely conjecture, with one Fox News reporter saying he's been told that McMaster is not being replaced.
