Russia's athletics suspension still stands – Lord Coe
Late past year, the International Olympic Committee suspended the membership of the Russian Olympic Committee over doping abuse allegations but allowed clean Russian athletes to participate in the 2018 Winter Games under the Olympic flag and in the neutral status of an Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR).
Not that neutral, actually: "Olympic Athlete from Russia", as opposed to "Independent Olympic Athlete", a term used in some previous cases.
International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach said the two failed tests, from curler Alexander Krushelnitsky and bobsledder Nadezhda Sergeeva, were "very disappointing".
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has lifted Russia's suspension with immediate effect. "We have a taskforce and I've..."
Russia's hopes of marching under its flag at Sunday's closing ceremony in South Korea were stymied by the two positive tests for banned substances, including a curler who had to forfeit his bronze medal. The Russian government has denied any state involvement in doping.

He referred to members of the Russian ice hockey team performing the national anthem after receiving the Olympic gold, saying he would like to thank them for their patriotism.
A short IOC statement said: "The final notification of all remaining test results from the Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR) delegation has been received from the Doping-Free Sport Unit (DFSU). Currently, we have 12 athletes on this list who will be paid $500 monthly starting from January 2018", said Amankulov.
"I would like to thank our athletes who were able to perform well even despite the provocations", Russian Olympic Committee President Alexander Zhukov said in televised remarks. "What Russia did at Sochi was evil directed at the Olympics and clean athletes". Today's IOC's decision is very important for us.
Russian Federation topped the medals table after the Games - but lost that position when athlete after athlete was disqualified following the retesting of samples. One hundred and sixty-eight took part in the games as neutral athletes.
