A memorial to the 86 residents of the French village of Ascq murdered
The soldiers were heading out for their morning jog just before 9am this morning in the Varces-Allières-et-Risset region in South East France, when a vehicle cascaded into the group, according to France Bleu.
None of the soldiers suffered any injuries in the attack, which took place around 9am local time on Thursday.
A driver was on the run Thursday after attempting to ram two French soldiers who were jogging outside military barracks in the Alps, officials said.
The driver, reportedly driving a stolen Peugeot, then insulted another group of soldiers, before speeding off, security sources said.
A man attempted to ram his vehicle into French military from the 93rd Mountain Artillery Regiment, who have been jogging in France's Varces-Allières-et-Risset, Isère, on Thursday morning, BFMTV reported.
