He blacked out in the Uber. He woke up in a different state – owing over $1600
Kenneth Bachman, of Sewell, N.J., spent the day and night drinking with friends near the West Virginia University campus, CBS Philly reports.
Kenneth Bachman of New Jersey, made it back home safely in an Uber from a party in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Kenny Bachman, 21, didn't know where he was when he woke up next to the Uber driver in a vehicle bound for the Garden State. That's a roughly 300-mile trip.
Bachman later explained the situation to a CBS affiliate in Philadelphia.
"I just woke up", he said in a phone interview with the paper.
"I'm heading back to West Virginia this weekend to pick up my bags so if you guys see me say, 'what's up!'"
"We went to a frat party and then went to the bar".
"Once the ride ended and I saw how much it was when I was like 'Alright, this is insane, that's just crazy", Bachman said.

He accused the Uber driver of using his phone and said he even had to get money to repay the driver for the tolls they had gone through along the way. But as of Thursday night, there haven't been any donations.

"Obviously I sent the Uber..."
Further complicating matters was the fact that Bachman accidentally ordered an UberXL, an upper-tier (more expensive) option that can accommodate up to six riders.
He says he gave the driver five stars and even gave the driver cash to cover the cost of tolls on the way home.
Mr Bachman said he challenged Uber over the fare, saying he had never entered his home address as the destination, but was unsuccessful. "I know I wouldn't send it to my house", Bachman says. Uber also connected with Bachman and resolved the matter, which ended with him agreeing to pay the fare.
