Having been married since 1989 and starred together in films such as Dead Again and Much Ado About Nothing, Thompson and Branagh were kind of Britain's star thespian couple for a while in the early '90s, at least by American standards.
While married to Thompson, Branagh had an affair with actress Helena Bonham Carter, which ended their marriage.
Emma and Kenneth began a relationship back in 1987, when they met on the set of a BBC drama. The two had an affair. However, the couple filed for divorce in 1995, claiming busy work schedules had led to their split. In this case, as she told Yahoo Movies UK, she knew what it was like to have her heart broken by an unfaithful spouse. "So I knew what it was like to find the necklace that wasn't meant for me", Thompson said Sunday.
