Fuller House creator ousted over inappropriate behavior

Jeff Franklin has been removed as showrunner on Netflix's Fuller House amid allegations of inappropriate behavior, Deadline has confirmed. TV has been terminated, according to Variety. The report notes that Franklin has been subject of complaints regarding verbally abusive behavior towards writers and him making a number of inappropriate comments about his sex life.

Jeff Franklin, who served as an executive producer on the Netflix reboot of Fuller House and the ABC original, has been relieved of his duties. Stanton "Larry" Stein, Franklin's attorney, revealed to the Associated Press that no one told neither he nor his client about what had been said was considered offensive.

Warner Bros. TV purportedly received its first complaint about Franklin more than two years ago, and launched an investigation after multiple reports were received more recently. TV after the studio allegedly received a letter written by the Fuller House writers/staffers detailing his behavior.

Franklin wasn't accused of direct sexual harassment or physically violating anyone, sources told the publication.

When Fuller House returns to the air later this year, it will be doing so without its creator in Jeff Franklin.

A spokesperson for the streaming service said production would start in the next few months. It is unclear whether or not the studio investigated the complaints at that time.

Representatives for Franklin did not immediately respond to V.F.'s request for comment.
