Literally. Google has announced it will be expanding Assistant to almost two dozen more languages this year as it expands its influence to some "95 percent of all eligible Android phones worldwide".
Google Assistant announced at the start of Mobile World Congress today that it is bringing its Android and voice app ecosystems together. But this isn't the end as Google tells us it has support for even more languages coming later this year.
Another new feature implemented by Google will allow developers to deep link Actions within the Google Assistant app to other Android apps. Third-party apps can also cut out the introductory fluff if it's not your first time using them through Assistant.

Google is continuing its push to make its digital assistant a global hit. Expect more to be introduced as the Google Assistant SDK is out. Starting today, developers can integrate their complex applications with Assistant through the new Android Link feature. This feature will let developers create Actions to connect the Assistant for info or tasks in their respective apps. Google gives the Spothero Action as an example, and when you ask about your parking reservation, it shows you all the details on your phone. A ride-hailing service like Uber, for example, can respond to voice commands to book a ride and Google will handle all the back-end processing to determine the location of the pickup and destination without the user having to leave the conversation with the Uber Action. This means developers won't have to design their own methods to tie a user and anything the user might need or want with a location. Have you used Alexa much? Originally announced alongside the Pixel 2 phones past year, routines will let users combine multiple actions into a single command, like turning off the lights and lowering the thermostat when you say, "OK Google, good night". Developers won't have to do anything here, its all done by the Assistant core.
