Google Maps is now available in isiZulu, Afrikaans and Swahili

Google Maps has received an update which users in countries including Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Latvia will appreciate - the inclusion of an additional 39 languages.

There is a total of six thousand nine hundred and nine languages recorded in the Ethnologue catalogue this should be kept in mind.

Google revealed the new language upgrade on Tuesday, which includes native support for languages which are less commonly spoken worldwide in comparison to English, Spanish, and French, among others.

Google Maps looked a lot different back in the early days over a decade ago and it was only available in English back then.

Google has announced the introduction of 39 new languages to its maps platform - including Afrikaans and Zulu.

Users can change the language from Google Maps' side menu.

The company mentions that more than one billion people use Google Maps to discover new places and get things done.
