To sum up the changes, Google states there is a new feature called Smart Resume. The pace can be set via the new controls to listen to three times the speed or as slow as 0.5 times the default. Now you'll be able to add audiobooks to a daily routine so that your book automatically starts once you've gotten into your vehicle and after Google Maps has been actioned by your "Hey Google, tell me about my day" command. That is the ability to stop and pick up exactly where you left off.

Books can be shared with up to five different people (depending on the book) and can be read on either the app or the web.
