H1Z1 Auto Royale Mode Releases Today
The addition of Auto Royale to H1Z1 comes with the added bonus of the game graduating from Early Access as well.
Daybreak Games has announced the official launch of H1Z1 alongside an all new Auto Royale mode. H1Z1 doesn't have the population to start tossing out dozens of new game modes, but they can use "Auto Royale" as a testing bed. There's a massive map packed with power-ups, weapons, ammo, fuel and health. They include vehicle fix kits, environmental buffs, fire extinguishers, vehicle armor, smoke screens, fuel, turbo boosts, oil slicks, land mines and corrosive smoke.
In February 2016, the game was split into two separate games - H1Z1: King of the Kill (battle royale) and H1Z1: Just Survive (survival MMO). It should be mentioned that while H1Z1 leaves Early Access today, the new Auto Royale mode will remain in beta and "continue to develop with feedback from the community".
To celebrate the occasion, Auto Royale is now available for all players through a free downloadable update.
Remember H1Z1? The early Battle Royale Steam hit has seen a drastic drop in player numbers ever since PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite took hold of the genre.

While vehicles have been present in battle royale games before, they usually aren't the focus, which should help H1Z1 and Auto Royale stick out from the competition.

Any lapsed H1Z1 players out there? Tweaking the game mode to add new types of engagement and new ways to play could prove to push innovation forward in the single-A and AA development sector. There will be equipment drops as well that will have vehicle fix kits, environmental buffs, fire extinguishers, and vehicle armor.
Evasive power ups include smoke screens, high-octane fuel, turbo boosts, and oil slicks. The developer has also seen fit to add a new ARV military-style vehicle and new weapons, including a light machine gun, landmines, and corrosive gas.
Players who are dropping into play can now choose which area to spawn in and the game will show a heat map as to where others are electing to start from. Finally, H1Z1's airdrops have been adjusted to drop at a more frequent rate and with higher value items.

At one point developer Daybreak were talking about console version for H1Z1, but they were put on the backburner a while ago in order to concentrate on the PC.
