The Bahadurabad faction of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Thursday announced that it will support Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) candidate for the position of the leader of opposition in the Senate.
On Wednesday, PPP nominated its Vice-President Sherry Rehman for the Slot of Opposition Leader in the Upper House of the Parliament; however, PTI refused to give its nod to Sherry Rehman's nomination and announced to bring Azam Swati as its member for the Slot.
"We have chose to support the PTI's candidate for the post of Senate opposition leader", Faisal Sabzwari told media persons.
It is interesting to mention here the both PPP and PTI had joined hands together a couple of days ago to defeat Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-L) candidates for Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman elections.
