'Hichki': Rani Mukerji starrer manages a steady opening

Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji have been best of friends and the superstar took time out of his hectic Thugs of Hindostan shoot to watch Rani's film Hichki in Jodhpur.

Considering that "Hichki" was released in a limited number of screens, the start is quite encouraging. Business from the morning shows remained tiresome. Raja Sen also reviewed the film for NDTV and said: "A fine actress, Rani Mukerji does well to make her condition appear natural and entirely involuntary, but the story pivots too far away from the students' (and teachers') acceptance of the syndrome".

This Akshay Kumar film which revolved around the social issue of menstruation grossed Rs. 10.26 crores on Day 1. Although it got a solo release, Ajay Devgn's Raid has been going very strong at the box office, which apparently affected opening day collection of Hichki to a great extent.
