A hot air balloon crash has left nine people injured in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
The balloon came down at the corner of Macdonald Road and Broke Road in Pokolbin.
A spokesman for a competing company in the Hunter Valley, Beyond Ballooning, told AAP it cancelled its flight on Friday morning due to "unsuitable flying conditions".
Two of the nine people have been transferred to the John Hunter Hospital for specialised treatment.
The cops have criticized the company for not informing the authorities about the accident and for removing the balloon from the site of the crash.
Inspector Post said police had attended the scene of today's crash to gather evidence, but had not yet spoken to the pilot or owner of the company. Shockingly enough, emergency services weren't informed by the company.
"I thought, geez, this looks suspicious, it was half up and was right near the trees", she said.
When asked if the balloon should have remained in place he replied: "Some would argue, yes".

Michael MacGregor, who was on board with his wife Alex, said it was "down-playing" the incident to call it a "heavy landing".
Balloon Safaris is owned by Balloon Aloft, which describes itself as Australia's most experienced hot air ballooning company.
There are no fatalities or life threatening injuries, the spokesperson confirmed.
In January's crash, an 80-year-old woman sustained multiple fractures and was trapped in the basket for 40 minutes.
The organisation has been contacted for comment.
