Kidnapped Delhi student's parents carried Rs 10 lakh ransom around city, found his body

The body of Ayush Nautiyal, a final year student of Ram Lal Anand College in south campus, was found in a drain in Dwarka Sector 13 on Wednesday night.

The body of the deceased Delhi University student, identified as Ayush, was found in a drain here in Dwarka area.

25-year-old Ishtiaq Ali, a resident of Uttam Nagar, confessed to the killing citing an altercation with the deceased. He had cooked up a kidnapping story to mislead the police and to buy more time in disposing of the body, police said. "The CCTV footage of the meeting was examined". They had an argument over something which turned violent and the accused attacked Ayush with a hammer, he added.

After some time, his family received a WhatsApp message from his phone in which the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
