Luxury automotive manufacturer, Maserati has launched the 2018 updated version of its best selling sedan, Ghibli in India. Combined fuel consumption of 5.9 litres/100 km and a 70-litre tank ensure a long range of over 1,000 kilometres, makes the Ghibli Diesel a vehicle that serves customer needs for long-distance travel. At a starting price of Rs 1.33 Crore (ex-showroom), the Ghibli is available in three variants - Diesel, Diesel GranSport and Diesel GranLusso.
There are two trims available, namely the GranLusso and GranSport. The Maserati Ghibli GranLusso comes with a distinctive premium appeal and offers features like Ermenegildo Zegna silk upholstery. The company is on a spree of launching the latest of its products, and the latest is the 2018 Maserati Ghibli. The vehicle is claimed to accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds with the top speed of 250 km/h. This is Maserati's first oil-burner and made exclusively by the Italian automaker in collaboration with VM Motori. The new engine is homologated for Euro VI emission norms. The Ghibli further uses Auto Start-Stop and AdBlue technologies to reduce Carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption by an extra six percent. Despite the engine being a diesel, it produces Maserati's distinctive growl thanks to an Active Sound System.
The Ghibli Diesel produces a maximum torque of 600 Nm between 2,000 and 2,600 rpm with over-boost turbocharging. The sports sedan promises a 0 to 100 km/h stint in just 6.3 seconds. It can achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.

The 2018 Ghibli was the first Maserati to be fitted with Adaptive full LED headlights with glare free Matrix high-beam, standard in GranLusso and GranSport. For India, the Maserati Ghibli comes with Skyhook suspension system, which offers a smoother ride.
The "new" auto is more aerodynamic (Cd drops to 0.29), comes with restyled bumpers, adaptive LED headlamps, Skyhook suspension system, Integrated Vehicle Control, etc.
