Microsoft Edge on tablets
The Microsoft Edge web browser is now available to download for Apple iPad and Android tablets.
Google makes some download data on Play Store apps publicly available, so we can see that the mobile Edge browser has had between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000 downloads since it first launched late previous year. As an example, the iPad app has yet to support the split view and slide over multitasking features on iOS 11, and we hope Microsoft is working on it.
What's to like in Edge? The company did the same with the iPad version with beta testing occurring last month, followed by today's release. Raming favorites and passwords must mean you have to sign into a Microsoft account, and if you're signed into a Microsoft account, will it force Cortana on you as well?
