The arrest could put Barnett's availability in the postseason in peril, but coach Cuonzo Martin is not scheduled to meet with the media until a planned event around the NCAA Tournament selection show.
Per Rivals.com's Gabe DeArmond, a spokesman for the University of Missouri Police Department announced Barnett was arrested at 3:26 a.m. local time for failure to drive in a single lane and suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Mizzou is aware of the incident according to a team spokesperson.
The timing of this could not be worse for Missouri. Mizzou added Michael Porter Jr.to the mix after the former 5-star returned from a back injury he suffered in the first game of the season.
Potentially losing Barnett would be devastating to Mizzou's NCAA Tournament chances.
