Scores of people were left homeless after a three-story building collapsed in Kariobangi, Nairobi on Saturday.
County enforcement director Peter Mbaya said there were no casualties as all the tenants had vacated the building by the time it crumbled.
Noela Musundi of the Kenya Red Cross confirmed that "there were no casualties, but property got destroyed".

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko visited the scene of the collapsed 35-room block and thanked the disaster response team for acting quick.
According to the secretary to the National Buildings Inspectorate Moses Nyakiongora, the building whose construction begun in 2009 but stalled in 2015, had not been done up to standard.
They evacuated the building before it finally came down on Saturday 2.30am.
Many buildings in Nairobi's Eastlands have been listed by the National Construction Authority as risky to occupy.
