NFL Draft Rumors: Cleveland Browns aren't high on any QB

NFL Network's Michael Silver reported on Tuesday - the first day of the NFL Scouting Combine - that Rosen told him any report that he does not want to go to the Browns is not true. So, to me, Josh Allen has to be in that conversation at or one or four, along with (Sam) Darnold, perhaps Rosen and (Baker) Mayfield.

The question is: In which round of the 2018 NFL Draft will the Cleveland Browns attempt to find said player?

Specifically, he wrote that "Privately, Rosen has expressed concern about winding up in Cleveland and would rather be with a more stable franchise, such as the Giants". "I don't know where that came from", Rosen stated. "There's absolutely no foundation in reality to that".

The Browns haven't drafted a quarterback in the first round since Johnny Manziel in 2014 and haven't used a top-20 pick on the position since taking Tim Couch first overall in 1999. An ESPN report in December said Rosen preferred the New York Giants, who have the second pick, and would be hesitant to declare for the draft if he knew the Browns would pick him.Cleveland has a long and depressing list of quarterbacks who have failed there, and are 1-31 over the past two seasons.

Quarterbacks are making news, just as the National Football League is getting ready to invade Indianapolis for the Scouting Combine that begins February 28 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Given that Cleveland is a cold weather city where throwing downfield in frigid and windy conditions is the norm, a quarterback with a big arm is exactly what the Browns need.

Rosen is seen as being more of a pure passer of the two along with possessing a strong arm that has allowed him to make accurate throws in tight coverage.
