Almost eight months after the Doklam crisis, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be travelling to China to further the bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries that fought a battle more than 50 years ago.

Sitharaman on the sidelines of the first International Conference on Military Ammunition held here, when asked when she will visit China said, "Yes its going to be probably in late April".

However, in the last two weeks, both sides have announced several steps to normalise the relationship.

Of late, China's state-run media has also been making the right sounds to possibly facilitate the effort to improve ties.

It said there was also evidence that the conductor abused and harassed "vulnerable artists in the early stages of their careers". The company said "it would be inappropriate and impossible for Mr Levine to continue to work at the Met".

But the Doklam crisis came in between the two ministerial visits as the border guarding troops from two sides had a 72-day face-off at Doklam a disputed site near India-China-Bhutan tri-junction between June and August, last year.

Wang was here to here to attend the foreign ministers meeting of RIC grouping comprising Russia, India and China.
