OnePlus has announced the Android 8.1 Oreo support via the OxygenOS Open Beta 6 for OnePlus 5 users with additional new features and bug fixes.
OnePlus rolled this new update, which happens to be the sixth beta update to the already existing beta program. With that, OnePlus 5 also joins the select list of smartphones running latest Android 8.1 Oreo OS. A quick look at the replies in the forum thread for this Open Beta shows that users find the Fruit Phone X-like gesture navigation to be much improved.
In addition to this major change, OnePlus has also added few minor changes. For instance, the new update enable users to answer incoming calls, just by raising the phone.

During the testimony, Hicks also admitted to telling "white lies" on behalf of Trump. It is unclear if Hicks was referring to the campaign or the personal account.
The update is now rolling out for the users under OpenBeta OS, and later on, all the features will be added to the stable build of the OS. There's also a new "global roaming solution", however OnePlus has not detailed what this solution might be.
It is termed as 'Auto pick up gesture.' Packed with more widgets and clock styles for ambient display, the new update has been tweaked for better gaming experiences, including power saving mode. OnePlus has also added the ability to backup app data, in case you are looking to switch smartphones in the near future, and of course there are some changes to the system - which include being updated to the February 2018 security patch.
