Carl's Twitter post garnered a lot of negative opinion on the case of the OnePlus 6 borrowing an iPhone X-inspired design from one of its cousins.
The company had unveiled the OnePlus 5T smartphone in the last year's June month.
The notch to the top houses the front-facing camera and earpiece, which is pretty much expected.
Chinese site ITHome has published two images of what it claims might be OnePlus's next phone. This would allow for wireless charging, but it's also a stark departure from the unique Lava Red and Sandstone White designs we saw with the 5T. On the rear, you'll also find a fingerprint scanner, a dual lens camera and, unsurprisingly, the OnePlus logo.
As exciting (or terrifying) as these pictures may be, it's important to take them with a giant grain of salt.
When coming to the smartphone design, it looks more like OnePlus One which has little rounded corners without sharp edges.

Being the new generation smartphone, the OnePlus 6 could feature the extraordinary hardware and software features. According to the report, OnePlus 6 comes with the model number P7819 and have 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The fingerprint scanner is shaped like a pill rather than being circular like on the OnePlus 5T.
The phone is running OxygenOS 5.1.0 MEA_3 based on Android 8.1.0 Oreo with December's security patch.
The alleged image of the OnePlus 6 also shows that the phone will come in mirror finish, or at least, one variant will have a mirror finish.
If the OnePlus 6 follows the OnePlus 5's release schedule, then fans can expect the new flagship to launch around June this year.
He also said that the incoming smartphone could represent a watershed moment for the OnePlus, as the firm plans to begin talks with United States carriers this year. Under the hood it may even be embedded with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
