PUBG Mobile release INCOMING? Canadian app points to Western iOS Android launch
PUBG Mobile quietly started beta testing on Android devices, finally bringing the massively popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to smartphones shortly after the announcement of Fortnite Mobile. Speculation about PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds wider release on Android had begun, when two different versions of the game were announced for China last month.
While there is no shortage of PUBG clones and weird apps claiming to teach you how to win every time, this PUBG Mobile app is legit.
As with the hit PC and Xbox One versions of the game, PUGB Mobile supports up to 100 players in a match, as they are dropped from the sky onto a simulated 8×8 km location. It is a common process in the mobile gaming world.
There's no doubt that mobile devices have gotten extremely powerful, but I do wonder how the game will hold up.

PUBG Mobile is now being run as an open beta in Canada, meaning anyone can download and play so long as they're willing to put up with the occasional bug here and there.
However, the catch is that PUBG Mobile is now only officially available in the Google Play Store of Canada.

With the developer continuing to provide updates to the release and doing its best to engage with its fan base, it should come as no surprise that PUBG is one of the most popular titles on the planet, as it has now reached over five million players on Xbox One alone. Unlike PUBG Mobile, the mobile version of Fortnite is cross-play compatible with PC, Mac and PlayStation 4.
