PlayStation Plus for March 2018 Adds Bloodborne- Ratchet & Clank
I'm gonna have to start up a new character to get in on the influx of new players (as a friendly cooperator, of course!). The second free game for PS4 subscribers is quite more cheery Ratchet & Clank.
First introduced with the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Plus - also known as PS Plus - offers paying subscribers features including but not limited to cloud save storage, early beta access, discounts, and full online multiplayer capabilities. But the company does allude to future changes by mentioning "PS4 monthly games" as a priority for the service in the future. The PS Plus free games program will start focusing exclusively on PS4 games going forward, with March being the last month to feature titles on the PS3 and PS Vita. This reimagining of a PlayStation 2 classic franchise sees you traveling across the planet to take down Doctor Nefarious. March 2018 is a big month as PS4 owners can download and play Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank.
Additional PS Plus March 2018 games include Legend of Kay and Mighty No. 9 on the PS3 and Claire: Extended Cut and Bombing Busters on PS Vita.
We also have an important service update. Bloodborne was our personal Game of the Year in 2015, and it's easily one of the strongest exclusive the PS4 has up its sleeve.

This news will certainly be disappointing to many but Sony won't be leaving fans of last-gen titles completely without recourse. If you already have the games downloaded previously, they will not be removed.
While it's sad, it's not unexpected - Sony doesn't offer PS3 backwards compatibility on PS4, so the older catalogue of titles doesn't benefit PS4 players.
Those games will remain available to subscribers as long as they remain a PlayStation Plus member. We will, at that point, be five years into the PS4's lifetime so it may simply be that Sony thinks it time to move forward.
