The health of the daughter of a former Russian double agent poisoned in a nerve agent attack in the United Kingdom is "improving rapidly", according to the hospital treating her.

Britain says he and his daughter, who was visiting from Russian Federation, were poisoned with a nerve agent developed in Soviet times and that it must have come from Russian Federation.

Zakharova said Russia would "very shortly" reveal its response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats. He was released in 2010 as part of a spy exchange between Russian Federation and the US.

Two years later she moved to London - the same year her dad came to the UK. He added that "all options are on the table" regarding Russia's response.

A top Russian lawmaker says Moscow's decision to expel 60 USA diplomats and close the American Consulate in St. Petersburg should make Washington examine its own mistakes.

The ministry warned that if the USA takes further "hostile actions" against Russian missions, Russia will respond in kind. "Then they told us that it did exist but they had destroyed the stocks".

Global experts from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) arrived in Salisbury on Mar 20 to verify Britain's findings.

Lavrov said that Moscow called a meeting Monday of the secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to discuss the case.

She told MPs: "Late last week, doctors indicated that their condition is unlikely to change in the near future, and they may never recover fully".

Sergei Skripal, 66, remains in a critical but stable condition, Salisbury District Hospital's board said.

"I'm pleased to be able to report an improvement in the condition of Yulia Skripal", Blanshard said.

Colonel Skripal is a retired Russian military intelligence officer who was convicted of passing the identities of Russian intelligence agents working undercover in Europe to the UK's Secret Intelligence Service, MI6.

Moscow vehemently denies any involvement.

The highest concentration of nerve agent found so far was on the Skripals' front door in Salisbury, and detectives plan to focus their investigation in the surrounding area, London's Metropolitan Police force said in a statement.

Police have also searched a variety of sites around Salisbury, including a pub, a restaurant and a cemetery. She said the countries which had ordered expulsions had been subject to intense pressure to show "solidarity" with Britain despite there being no evidence implicating Russian Federation.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a news conference in Moscow that "we have again demanded to be guaranteed access to Yulia as she is a Russian citizen".

The highest concentration of the nerve agent was found on the front door.

She said that the Western research into the class of nerve agent, known as Novichok, was reflected in numerous open source documents of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members. British officials have previously rejected such Russian claims as nonsense.
