Star cornerback Richard Sherman has signed a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, two days after being released by the rival Seattle Seahawks.
Well here's a twist in the Richard-Sherman-to-the-49ers saga.
"I'm vengeful in that way", Sherman said. DeShawn Shead, who will be released by the Seahawks on Monday, already has a visit lined up with the Lions next week, according to his agent, Cameron Foster, per ESPN's Brady Henderson.
After signing Sherman, I expect the 49ers to avoid giving up the big bucks to any more secondary players in free agency and, instead, target cornerback depth in the NFL Draft. Come on. I'm not the one who let me go.
