'Blade Runner 2049's Roger Deakins Finally Gets His Cinematography Oscar In 14th Try

Roger Deakins, victor of the award for best cinematography for Blade Runner 2049.

Before Sunday, legendary cameraman Roger Deakins had won every major prize for cinematography but one.

"I guess I'd better say something, or else they'll give me a jet ski, and I can't see myself on a jet ski somehow", Deakins joked in his brief acceptance speech.
