Sam Darnold will not throw at combine all other QBs will participate
Darnold threw for 4,143 yards on 63.1 percent passing with 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions as a sophomore last season.
This year's quarterback class is a fun one.
Darnold, along with UCLA's Josh Rosen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and Wyoming's Josh Allen, are expected to be selected in the first round of the draft.
At the same time, none of the quarterback-needy teams are going to Indianapolis to see Darnold's vertical leap or bench press.
The potential top pick in the upcoming draft will wait until USC's Pro Day to throw for scouts.

This will nearly certainly have no impact on Darnold going in the first round; in the most recent round of CBSSports.com mock drafts, four of the six experts have Darnold going first overall, and the other two have him going no later than fifth.
Darnold has also won the big games and stepped up when needed, starting with getting USC to the Rose Bowl and winning against a unsafe Penn State team.
