Jordan King Abdullah on three-day India visit; seeks tech, business tie-up
The Prime Minister further said that India's heritage and value, the message of its religion and principles were the strengths on the basis of which we can overcome violence and terrorism.
The pacts included a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote defence cooperation between India and Jordan.
"We need to make sure young people learn the true values of our religions".
Late on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was returning from Karnataka, stayed on at the airport to receive King Abdullah of Jordan with his singature bear hug.
In his special address, the Jordanian King said the global war against terror is not a fight between different religions but between moderates of all faiths, communities and against extremists who spread hatred and violence.
Abdullah II, while sharing his views on religion said faith should hold humanity together. "Our strongest defence against turmoil is inclusion", he said.

The king, credited with making Jordan an oasis of stability in a restive region, said: "We can not afford to allow young people to be left without hope, trapped in isolation, and vulnerable to the false promises of outlawed groups". The world is one family.
"Because of their actions, very few non-Muslims understand the real difference between Islam as it has always been, and the distorted perversions of the religion today", he said. "However different our countries and people are we have shared responsibility to each other as well as future", said Abdullah.
The two leaders discussed a gamut of issues ranging from Syrian refugees to Palestine and resolved to enhance cooperation in the economic sphere, T.S. Tirumurti, secretary (economic relations) in the external affairs ministry, told reporters. King Abdullah also visited the headquarters of the elite National Security Guard (NSG) at Manesar in Haryana near Delhi and was impressed by the capabilities of the elite counter-terror unit.
Other agreements included cooperation in the field of culture, heritage, health and medicine, setting up of Centre of Excellence (COE) in Jordan, long term supply of Rock Phosphate and Fertilizer/NPK, mass communication, customs mutual assistance and visa waiver for diplomatic and official passport holders.
A presentation on Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) was also done before the visiting dignitary.
