Six mowed down by train in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district
(G.N.S) Dt. 26 New Delhi Six teenagers died instantly February 25 night when a speeding train hit them in Uttar Pradesh state. "In order to avoid the train, they moved to the other track where they were run over by another train", S.C. Dubey, local railway police chief, told the media. But they missed that train and returned to Pilakhua a little after midnight.
The victims, who were all daily wagers, were supposed to board a train from Ghaziabad for a painting contract in Hyderabad. All of them, apparently, had ear phones on and were listening to music when the tragedy struck.
While five were instantly killed, two were critically injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
