Mauricio Pellegrino has been sacked as manager of Southampton and Matt Le Tissier saw it coming
The Argentine was unable to add more attacking flair to a team that struggled for goals toward the end of last season under Claude Puel, and fans have recently been calling for Southampton to play two strikers up front to be more of a threat.
Following the Saints' 3-0 defeat at relegation rivals Newcastle on Saturday, Pellegrino has lost his job after less than a year in charge.
Former Southampton striker Mark Hughes is another name in the frame, as the ex-Stoke boss is just 6/1 to make a return to the South Coast and attempt to keep the club in the Premier League.
