Steelers could fix a mistake from 2014 NFL Draft during free agency

A lynchpin on the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense over the past four seasons, it has always been expected that veteran safety Mike Mitchell would be a salary cap causality. The Steelers don't have much cap space and can save $5 million by kicking Mitchell to the curb. According to the network the Steelers are open to re-signing Mitchell on cheaper terms.

Per Spotrac, the veteran carries a cap hit of $8.1 million.
