The White House on Monday disputed adult film star Stormy Daniels' claim that she was threatened to keep quiet over her alleged affair with Donald Trump and said the USA president continues to deny the relationship.
The request for an expedited jury trial and limited discovery - including a deposition of Trump and his personal attorney, Michael Cohen - was deemed "premature and must be denied" because some questions may wind up being answered by a future petition from Trump and Cohen, wrote Judge S. James Otero of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
A hearing in Los Angeles is set for 30 April.
The White House on Monday said President Donald Trump has consistently denied the allegations leveled by porn star Stormy Daniels in her "60 Minutes" interview, and said Trump does not believe her claim that she was threatened to stay quiet over their alleged affair.
Daniels, who received $130,000 from Cohen for the NDA shortly before the 2016 presidential election, sued on March 6, alleging Trump never signed the "hush agreement", rendering it null and void.
Mar-a-Lago member Chris Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax, told ABC Sunday that Trump told him "much of the Stormy Daniels stuff" is a "political hoax".
The White House, which has said Mr Trump denies the relationship, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Maintaining silence, the White House has refused to answer if United States President Donald Trump had know-how of a Dollars 130,000 payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels by his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen said Daniels made defamatory statements about him in the TV interview. Cohen, Blakely said, does not believe Daniels' story about the threat.

Daniels, Avenatti said, wanted to prove Trump pushed a hush agreement to prevent Daniels from speaking out just weeks before his presidential election.
Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, said Cohen "meant to convey that Ms. Clifford is a liar, someone who should not be trusted, and that her claims about her relationship with Mr. Trump" were not true.
At the time, Trump was married to his current wife, Melania, who had recently given birth to their son, Barron.
The account Daniels gave of a man coming upon her in a parking lot as she was taking her infant daughter out of the vehicle, saying it would "be a shame" if something happened to the child's mother, is chilling and repulsive. Her lawyer posted a copy of the suit filed on Daniels' behalf.
"We expect to be placing the President and his fixer under oath in the coming months", he said.
Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels allegedly had an affair a decade ago.
The White House on Monday hit back at Daniels' claims.
Daniels, 39, claims she had a sexual liaison with Trump, now 71, in 2006.
