Sushma Swaraj External Affairs Minister former Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida

Upon her arrival at Tokyo, she was received by Indian ambassador in Japan Sujan Chinoy and ambassador Hideaki Hoshi of the ministry of foreign affairs of Japan. Recalling the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 2014 visit to Japan, she said, Mr Modi will visit Japan this year. The India-Japan Strategic Dialogue is a bi-lateral summit that being in Japan and India alternatively since 2007.
"During our discussions, I told Foreign Minister Kono that India has embarked on the path of change and in this we regard Japan as an important partner", she stated.
"The Special Strategic and Global Partnership we share is extremely important in the context of today's world", she said. She spoke about the ease of doing business in India.
"We also exchanged views on some new areas of focus in our engagement, such as skills development, Japanese language training in India and the possibility of Indian professionals working in Japan under the Technical Intern Training Programme".
Mrs Swaraj also emphasized the need to act on terror and its sponsors.
