Telangana Government has put up a budget of a whopping 1,74,453 Crores for the year 2018-19.

The Minister announced the constitution of Farmers Coordination Committees to unite the farmers and ensure minimum support price (MSP), and allocated ₹500 crore for the Rythu Bheema scheme, ₹522 crore to promote farm mechanisation, besides making allocations for construction of additional godowns, marketing facilities and cold storage linkages. In a reflection of the priority given to irrigation in the budget, an amount of Rs 25,000 crore has been allocated to the sector. Rs 12,000 crore have also been allocated towards input subsidy to farmers.

Rs 1,470 crore has been allocated for distribution of land to homeless Dalits. The expenditure incurred in the current financial year is Rs 1,25,464 crore, while the revenue is estimated to reach up to Rs 73,751 crore by March 31. To give Rs 4k each in rabi and kharif an acre.

The Telangana government on Thursday presented the budget for the financial year 2018-19. The government has allocated Rs 250 billion for irrigation projects. The State's tax revenue recorded 19 per cent growth.

The budget proposed Rs 15,563 crore for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department and Rs 5,575 crore for Roads and Buildings. Etela said that the overall GSDP which was at Rs 6,41,985 crore in 2016-17, is estimated to increase to Rs 7,32,657 crore registering a 14.1% growth.

The K Chandrasekhar Rao government in Telangana rolled-out its fourth Budget, being dubbed by the ruling TRS as a "welfare-centric" fiscal document.
