Why Did Nintendo Remove Switch Game User Ratings from Site?
The Bundle of Terror version of Outlast includes the original game, along with The Whistleblower DLC, which serves as a prequel, companion and conclusion to the base game. Each game that had reviews enabled could be given up to five stars, but Nintendo also provided a number of tags to tick if you thought they applied to the game, for example, Challenging, Fun to play, Great value, etc.
Red Barrels, creator of the well-known Outlast franchise have announced that it will be bringing Outlast, Outlast: Whistleblower, and Outlast II to the Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch has received a slew of games, many of which are ports of older games designed for mature audiences. Of course, the game was made for the console but by releasing it on the Switch, players can now play the game on the subway or on the bus. Essentially, the announcement caught Outlast fans by surprise, not unlike numerous game's jumpscares. At the time of the announcement, the studio planned to release the first title in Q1 of 2018 with no solid release date, but it turns out we don't even need the date since the release is here already!

Are we really surprised that Nintendo has pulled this feature from its website? No.
Still, we doubt many horror fans will complain, as Outlast became quite the popular horror title upon its initial release back in 2013. Switch owners will also be treated to a port of Outlast 2 at some point in the near future, which means that the entire series will soon be available on Nintendo's latest console. The survival horror game is set in a dilapidated asylum where the player assumes the role of investigative journalist Miles Upshur. The Bundle of Terror edition now available on the Switch eShop also features the prequel DLC, Outlast: Whistleblower.
