White House: Pres. Trump To Visit California Next Week
The meeting was called in the wake of the recent Florida shooting in which seventeen people lost their lives.
It's clear that the White House was trying to portray video games in the most negative light possible, as it pertains to violence. Which, again, is zero: Only one-eighth of the 41 school shooters surveyed by the US Secret Service in a 2004 review were interested in violent video games (twice as many liked violent movies or books, which was still only a quarter of that sample).
The video was released after Mr Trump held a roundtable with video game industry executives, Republican members of Congress, conservative activist Brent Bozell and founder of the Media Research Center and anti-media pressure groups and advocates, on Thursday (US time). Critics of the industry called for regulations that would make it hard for youths to buy violent games, and some asked Trump to widen the discussion to include violent movies and TV shows. The 1 minute 28-second clip was also posted on the White House Youtube channel. After it was shown Trump commented, "This is violent, isn't it?". "I believe significant progress was made today, and my hope is that we can build on this progress in the future".

This week, Trump ramped up his charade of a crusade, despite the fact that no link between video games and violence has ever been established. However, Trump reportedly seemed open-minded in his approach to the discussion. Unfortunately, the problem of easily available firearms is not being looked at close enough and that is the real problem and primary cause of gun violence in the US.
