The Hangover's Todd Phillips will direct the yet-to-be-titled film, with Martin Scorsese acting as Executive Producer. While Joaquin Phoenix is reportedly in talks to star in the film, Wiseau isn't backing down. We're talking about The Room's Tommy Wiseau, who we've helped to make a very real audition tape-seriously-for a gig as the Clown Prince of Crime.

While Wiseau's audition may not net him the Joker role, it's definitely worth a watch. Wiseau has made his way to the stage (and only the stage) at the Emmys, he's starring in a sci-fi romance flick, and he has a two-part movie with his The Room co-star and former roommate Greg Sestero on the horizon.

As you'll see in the video below, all he really brings is his usual awkward delivery of lines, still coated in that ambiguous accent, and comically bad choices, like crying at one point. Still, Wiseau and the Joker do have a lot in common. And we'd love to hear the Joker say, "Oh hi, Batman".

Wiseau, whose journey into cult fandom was chronicled in James Franco's "The Disaster Artist", ends his audition with some parting words for viewers: "Enjoy life".
