The Golden State Warriors will have to win without Steph Curry
Golden State lost their last game to the Portland Trail Blazers, 125 - 108; Trail Blazers win ninth straight. Portland's rebounding was their largest advantage.
Andrew Wiggins added 23 points.
Kevin Durant scored 39 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Golden State.
As far as Western Conference implications go, this was a big one.
It was a complete team effort from the Wolves on both ends of the court.
Curry will also sit out this game, and the Warriors have gone 11-5 without him this season.
When healthy, Curry has played at an MVP level. Minnesota are 4-7 without him, including 2-5 against opponents with winning records. The only other teams to beat the Warriors in each of the last three seasons are the Celtics and Nuggets. Golden State covered as a 13-point favorite and the game finished with a total of 239 points, which was 9.5 points above the projected point total of 229.5 points.

Even without Butler, the Timberwolves are not having issues scoring.
Towns has 29 double-doubles in the last 32 games. With the Warriors only losing 39 games over that stretch, that's significant.
While the Warriors have the offensive depth to withstand the loss of Curry, the Timberwolves are still trying to find their sea legs without Butler, who averages 22.2 points.
The Timberwolves rank well in free throw percentage (#2), turnovers per game (#2) and field goal percentage (#3). Jamal Crawford led the bench with 12 points.
